The Strategy Academy [TSA] articulated the theme “StrategyFirst – for all, by all” reflecting its core belief that every individual and organization, aiming to achieve his/her ambition at various stages of life and in the process become socially and economically relevant, must first be dissatisfied with the status quo and also be clear about his/her strategy to get out of the current state and move towards the ambition or desire he/she has set out. The Academy believes that everyone has the intrinsic capacity to pursue their ambition and develop the strategy needed to achieve the same. The Academy recommends that such a goal oriented strategy must simultaneously be opportunity-seeking and capability-based, logical and intuitive, inspiring and challenging, unique and unconventional and morally correct and transformational. When such a strategy is powered by ambition and driven by passion, the individuals and organizations executing it single-mindedly, become out-performers and leaders. Strategy, understood and approached this way, which incidentally is also the line of thinking of the Academy, goes beyond its traditional purpose such as achieving competitive advantage or providing long term direction and becomes more inclusive and transformational.
