  • Graduates with minimum 50% at graduation level and  pursuing 2 Year MBA/PGDM at  The Strategy Academy , fresh or experienced
  • Diploma holders [with at least 15 years of education] with 60% at diploma level and  minimum 3 years of  work experience as an executive or an entrepreneur [ marks and experience requirements can be relaxed in specific cases]
  • Applicants with no prior formal education in management [such as having a qualification like PGDBM/MBA/PGDBA] will be preferred
  • Busy, self confident and ambitious individuals willing to take charge of his/her destiny

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • To help the participants build their   business and strategic  skills and become  Total Business Managers or entrepreneurs
  • To prepare the participants to become, depending on their personal interest,  a Future Business Leader or  a strategic management consultant or a manager working in the area of strategy or an entrepreneur

PROGRAM DESIGN [ 100 Hours of LIVE contact with Faculty]:

DESIGN

  • 6 AREAS [including comprehensive project] with each area containing several subjects [listed below]
  • Total 100 hours of LIVE contact with faculty over the DIGITAL network, all AREAS put together
  • Deployment of  LIVE, 2 Way Interactive,  DIGITAL [web conferencing ] platform for conducting 100 hours of formal sessions.
  • Availability of recorded versions in case somebody misses a session
  • Three sessions per week , each @2.5 hours, normally on Saturday afternoon [4 to 930pm] and Monday evening [6 to 830pm]

ADMISSION PROCESS:

CERTIFICATION

To be awarded  APPLIED PROGRAM IN STRATEGY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP [APSE] by The Strategy Academy Management Services [TSAMS], subject to meeting the following requirements:

  • Attendance of 75% in the live digital classes
  • Successful completion of  all MODULES as per evaluation and grading system described above

DELIVERY

    Total 240 hours of Contact  per semester  comprising

  • 50% to 60% of the sessions will be delivered LIVE over the 2 way interactive  DIGITAL NETWORK of the Academy [ which can be accessed from office/home of participants];
  • Balance  40% -50% of the of the sessions will be a mix of  PRACTICALS [home assignments to be practised and resolved at home using the concepts discussed  during the LIVE sessions] PLUS  E-LEARNING [non-interactive] material and  once a quarter some face to face session for each subject [to be held in Calcutta].
  • The  above mentioned 50-60% of the  sessions will be delivered LIVE over the 2 way interactive  DIGITAL NETWORK of the Academy      [ which can be accessed from office/home of participants];
  • LIVE sessions per week – 5 to 10 hours per week - to be conducted in personal presence of faculty over the LIVE – 2 way interactive- digital platform.
  • Each weeks’  live sessions by faculty [to be delivered over the digital platform]  will be held  on  Mondays [6 to 830pm] and Saturdays [4 to 630pm and/or 7 to 930pm] and occasionally on weekdays;
  • Schedule of sessions for every  6 weeks will be announced in advance.
  • Minimum attendance needed to appear at the semester end examination: as per PTU
  • Recorded versions of lectures conducted LIVE by faculty but missed by a participant  will be made available on request
  • Arrangement for once a quarter face to face session [limited number of hours] – to be announced in advance; these face to face sessions will be held in Calcutta and interested participants, wishing to attend such sessions, will need to come to Calcutta

ELIGIBILITY:- for admission to MBA [PTU]

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks  from any recognized university
  • Results  of Perspective and Aptitude Test [conducted by the Academy -PAT]  required  for applicants with less than 50% marks
  • Interested participants must be used to working in PC environment since the LIVE sessions will be delivered over the DIGITAL network.

ASSESSMENT:

Internal Assessment:

  • The internal marks will be based on a continuous assessment in the areas of :
  • Test/Quizzes
  • Presentation/Reports/Home assignments 
  • Class attendance/General behaviour

Guidelines for External Practical / Viva-Voce

  • The external practical /viva-voce will be conducted as per the details mentioned above in
  • study scheme by an external examiner appointed by the University.

EXAMINATIONS

  • To be conducted by PTU in Calcutta
  • Participants not belonging to Calcutta can attend regular LIVE DIGITAL classes from their respective homes/offices but for appearing at the Semester-end examinations, they have to come to Calcutta

  • Marks to be obtained in individual subjects: Minimum 40%

  • E-learning based sessions per week - about 5 to 7.5 hours per week  [without the presence of faculty]
  • Each weeks’  live sessions by faculty [to be delivered over the digital platform]  will be held  on  Mondays [6 to 830pm] and Saturdays [4 to 630pm and/or 7 to 930pm];
  • Schedule of sessions for every  6 weeks will be announced in advance.
  • Access to e-learning materials: AIMA will issue guidelines [to be advised by the academy separately]
  • Minimum attendance needed to appear at the semester end examination: as per AIMA

    • Arrangement for once a quarter face to face session [limited number of hours] – to be announced in advance; these face to face sessions will be held in Calcutta and interested participants, wishing to attend such sessions, will need to come to Calcutta

    ASSESSMENT:

    •  60% TERM END examination, 30% assignments [2 per subject ] and 10% attendance and quizes
    • Assignments: Questions by AIMA, Submission to the Academy
    • End term examination; to be conducted by AIMA at designated centres [ no role of the Academy]

    SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

    • As per AIMA guideline
    • minimum CGPA; 2.67 [B-] out of a max of 4.33
