DELIVERY

Total 240 hours of Contact per semester comprising

  • 50% to 60% of the sessions will be delivered LIVE over the 2 way interactive  DIGITAL NETWORK of the Academy [ which can be accessed from office/home of participants];
  • Balance  40% -50% of the of the sessions will be a mix of  PRACTICALS [home assignments to be practised and resolved at home using the concepts discussed  during the LIVE sessions] PLUS  E-LEARNING [non-interactive] material and  once a quarter some face to face session for each subject [to be held in Calcutta].
  • The  above mentioned 50-60% of the  sessions will be delivered LIVE over the 2 way interactive  DIGITAL NETWORK of the Academy      [ which can be accessed from office/home of participants];
  • LIVE sessions per week – 5 to 10 hours per week - to be conducted in personal presence of faculty over the LIVE – 2 way interactive- digital platform.
  • Each weeks’  live sessions by faculty [to be delivered over the digital platform]  will be held  on  Mondays [6 to 830pm] and Saturdays [4 to 630pm and/or 7 to 930pm] and occasionally on weekdays;
  • Schedule of sessions for every  6 weeks will be announced in advance.
  • Minimum attendance needed to appear at the semester end examination: as per PTU
  • Recorded versions of lectures conducted LIVE by faculty but missed by a participant  will be made available on request
  • Arrangement for once a quarter face to face session [limited number of hours] – to be announced in advance; these face to face sessions will be held in Calcutta and interested participants, wishing to attend such sessions, will need to come to Calcutta

ELIGIBILITY:- for admission to MBA-SM [PTU]

  • Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks  from any recognized university
  • Results  of Perspective and Aptitude Test [conducted by the Academy -PAT]  required  for applicants with less than 50% marks
  • Interested participants must be used to working in PC environment since the LIVE sessions will be delivered over the DIGITAL network.

ASSESSMENT:

Internal Assessment:

  • The internal marks will be based on a continuous assessment in the areas of:
  • Test/Quizzes
  • Presentation/Reports/Home assignments 
  • Class attendance/General behaviour

Guidelines for External Practical / Viva-Voce :

  • The external practical /viva-voce will be conducted as per the details mentioned above in
  • study scheme by an external examiner appointed by the University.

EXAMINATIONS

  • To be conducted by PTU in Calcutta
  • Participants not belonging to Calcutta can attend regular LIVE DIGITAL classes from their respective homes/offices but for appearing at the Semester-end examinations, they have to come to Calcutta

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

  • As per PTU guideline
  • Marks to be obtained in individual subjects: Minimum 40%
  • Overall  [ Average] marks to be obtained: 50%

INFRASTRUCTURE [ required to receive LIVE delivery of digital network of the Academy]

In each training/ conference room where participants will sit, following facilities are required

  • One PC
  • One  LCD projector
  • Minimum broadband service [constant]: 512kbps
  • One good mike cum amplifier
  • One class room coordinator [who will operate key board of  the PC and maintain attendance record as well as discipline]

NOTE: Individual participants can also access LIVE delivery from their respective homes/places of stay [including when they are out of station] if they have a PC/Laptop, high speed data card and a head phone

  • Access to e-learning materials: AIMA will issue guidelines [to be advised by the academy separately]
  • Minimum attendance needed to appear at the semester end examination: as per AIMA
  • Recorded versions of lectures conducted LIVE by faculty but missed by a participant  will be made available on request
  • Arrangement for once a quarter face to face session [limited number of hours] – to be announced in advance; these face to face sessions will be held in Calcutta and interested participants, wishing to attend such sessions, will need to come to Calcutta

ASSESSMENT:

  •  60% TERM END examination, 30% assignments [2 per subject ] and 10% attendance and quizes
  • Assignments: Questions by AIMA, Submission to the Academy
  • End term examination; to be conducted by AIMA at designated centres [ no role of the Academy]

Guidelines for External Practical / Viva-Voce :

  • The external practical /viva-voce will be conducted as per the details mentioned above in
  • study scheme by an external examiner appointed by the University.

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION:

  • As per AIMA guideline
  • minimum CGPA; 2.67 [B-] out of a max of 4.33
